Lyman Museum again will join in the annual summer Blue Star Museums program that offers free admission for all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, May 25 through Sept. 1.

Lyman Museum again will join in the annual summer Blue Star Museums program that offers free admission for all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, May 25 through Sept. 1.

All active duty military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), National Guard and Reserve members and up to five immediate family members may be admitted with a Geneva Convention common access card, a DD Form 1173 ID card, or DD Form 1173-1 ID card. Spouses and immediate family members of deployed military also are eligible with the proper I.D.

The Lyman Museum is one of six museums in Hawaii state to participate, the others being the Hawaii State Art Museum, Honolulu Academy of Arts, Iolani Palace, Laupahoehoe Train Museum and Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum. The nationally accredited and Smithsonian-affiliated Lyman Museum showcases the natural and cultural history of Hawaii to tell the story of its islands and people.
